Law professor presents at Harvard on special ed lawsuit

Loyola University New Orleans College of Law professor Rob Garda spoke this week on special education students in charter schools at Harvard University Law School.

His presentation focused on the class action lawsuit filed in New Orleans and the Department of Justice complaint filed in the District of Columbia regarding special education oversight of charter schools. The program titled, "The State of the States,” featured speakers from academia, government, the non-profit community and private practitioners. It was hosted by the Harvard organization Advocates 4 Reform and the Alliance of Public Charter School Attorneys.

Garda teaches contracts, commercial transactions, international commercial transactions, employment discrimination, legal methods, and scholarly writing. He is the author of numerous articles and reports on education law.
