Law alumnus and National Guard Katrina rescuer retires

Charles “Chuck” Bourque Jr., J.D. ’90, from Houma, La., retired from the Louisiana National Guard after nearly 30 years of service. During Hurricanes Katrina, Ike and Gustav, Bourque flew rescue and assist missions in south Louisiana and was one of the guardsmen who helped rescue survivors in the waterlogged areas of New Orleans after Katrina. As an attorney, Bourque specializes in maritime and aviation cases.
