Loyola hosts real estate forecasting conference
October 7, 2011
The Loyola University New Orleans College of Business, in conjunction with the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors, will host the 1st Annual “Real Estate and Forecast Seminar” in Roussel Hall in the Communications/Music Complex on Tuesday, Oct. 18, beginning at 8 a.m.
Conference speakers will offer insight and forecasts on the future of the market and the role the housing market plays in our local and national economy.
“The success or struggle of the housing market is a pretty good indicator of which way the economy is headed. We’ve invited all of the organizations from the greater New Orleans development community,” said economics professor John Levendis, Ph.D. “National and local experts that know the ins and outs of the local real estate market will be sharing their forecasts.”
The morning session will feature national, regional and local economists and a panel of award-winning commercial and residential real estate agents and brokers. The event is open to the public and tickets for the morning session are available for $40 in advance and $50 at the door on the day of the event. Tickets for the afternoon session, which includes lunch, are $45 in advance and $55 at the door.
