Alumni and friends gather to honor the Frohnmayers
The careers of Loyola University New Orleans College of Music and Fine Arts vocal faculty members Philip and Ellen Frohnmayer will be honored June 3 - 5 during the "Frohnmayer Reunion and Tribute."
Director Ken Burns gives sneak preview of 'Prohibition' at Loyola
Award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns, in conjunction with PBS, Florentine Films, WYES and Loyola University New Orleans, will screen a 60-minute preview of his latest film, "Prohibition," on Tuesday, June 7, at 7 p.m. in Monroe Hall's Nunemaker Auditorium. A question and answer period with the director will follow the screening.
Faculty and staff join Ignacio Volunteers on immersion trip to Belize
While the Office of Mission and Ministry's Ignacio Volunteers are no strangers to communities in Belize, this year's immersion trip included for the first time a diverse cross-section of faculty and staff who spent nine days traveling around the country visiting and helping Mayan villages and schools.
LIM offers online lecture and conversation with Father Fagin
The Rev. Jerry Fagin, S.J., in conjunction with the Loyola Institute for Ministry, will present the online lecture, "Ministering with the Heart of Christ" on Wednesday, June 8, at 8 p.m. CDT. Fagin will explore the premise that a vibrant spirituality is the foundation of an effective ministry, and ministry, in turn, deepens and enriches our relationship with God.
