Loyola brings MBA program to Catholic University of Honduras
The presidents of Loyola University New Orleans and the Catholic University of Honduras, "Our Lady Queen of Peace" (UNICAH), today signed a memo of understanding that would bring Loyola's MBA program to Honduran students starting in January 2012.
Alumni and friends gather to honor the Frohnmayers
The careers of Loyola University New Orleans College of Music and Fine Arts vocal faculty members Philip and Ellen Frohnmayer will be honored June 3 - 5 during the "Frohnmayer Reunion and Tribute."
Director Ken Burns gives sneak preview of 'Prohibition' at Loyola
Award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns, in conjunction with PBS, Florentine Films, WYES and Loyola University New Orleans, will screen a 60-minute preview of his latest film, "Prohibition," on Tuesday, June 7, at 7 p.m. in Monroe Hall's Nunemaker Auditorium. A question and answer period with the director will follow the screening.
Loyola students donate to Alabama relief effort
The Office of Student Affairs recently provided support to the tornado victims of the Tuscaloosa community. After a combined effort to collect donations during Greek Week and the bi-annual Mass and Pancakes event, Residential Life and Co-Curricular Programs collected $750 and donated it to the Acts of Kindness Fund at the University of Alabama.
Loyola's Small Business Development Center named state's best
The Louisiana Small Business Development Center Greater New Orleans Region, hosted by the Loyola University New Orleans College of Business, was recently awarded the 2011 Service Excellence and Innovation Center Award at a reception held at the governor's mansion May 24.
Police chief delivers safety talk at national convention
Loyola University New Orleans Director of Public Safety/University Police, Patrick Bailey, was a presenter at the National Business Education Association convention and trade show held in New Orleans last April.
Duo set to run at NAIA Outdoor Championships
Vanessa Righeimer and Abraham Thacker will represent Loyola University New Orleans in the marathon event at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Outdoor Track and Field National Championships on May 28 in Marion, Indiana.
