Loyola web team updates university calendar
March 25, 2011
The Loyola University New Orleans online calendar has gotten a much needed makeover thanks to the Office of Web Communications. The new calendar, which debuts March 31, will be more user friendly and easier to read. Director of Web Communications Jacee Brown says that the redesign was in direct response to feedback from the Loyola community.
“We have had a lot of complaints about the calendar in the past and have recently completed a usability study on the entire Loyola website. It became clear that the old calendar application was unpleasant to view and, more importantly, navigate,” Brown said. “We researched a number of leading universities and got some great ideas about how we wanted the calendar to look and operate. We are pretty pleased with the end result and hope the rest of the Loyola community will be as well.”
