President welcomes back faculty and staff this afternoon
The Spring 2011 President's Convocation for faculty and staff is scheduled for today, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m., in Nunemaker Auditorium.
College of Law hosts real estate training class
The Real Estate Law Society at the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law will hold a real estate licensing training class tomorrow, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. in the College of Law, Room 111.
VITA provides free tax help for the needy
The Loyola University New Orleans College of Law is again offering the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program this year to provide free tax preparation assistance for people with low to moderate incomes.

Loyola descends on The Hive for some NBA action Monday night
Loyola University New Orleans and the New Orleans Hornets have partnered to present "Loyola Night at The Hive" Monday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. For just $10, Loyola students, faculty, staff or alumni can watch the Hornets take on NBA All-Star Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as receive a free Hornets t-shirt and transportation to and from the New Orleans Arena.
Loyola tops Faulkner in men's and women's basketball
Junior guard Corey Gray scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed five rebounds, as the Loyola University New Orleans men's basketball team overcame a late deficit to beat Faulkner University, 80-77.
Women's basketball to honor All-Decade team
Loyola University New Orleans will honor 10 former student-athletes as members of the women's basketball All-Decade Team on Saturday, Jan. 22 at halftime of the women's game against Belhaven, which tips off at 3 p.m. at the Den.
Walker Percy Center screens documentary on namesake
The Walker Percy Center for Writing and Publishing at Loyola University New Orleans will screen award-winning filmmaker and New Orleans native Win Riley's full-length documentary "Walker Percy: A Documentary Film" on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. in Monroe Hall's Nunemaker Auditorium.
Law alumni luncheon honors Ted Frois
Loyola University New Orleans College of Law alumnus and Loyola Trustee Emeritus, Theodore (Ted) Frois, J.D. '69, is the recipient of the 2011 St. Ives Award, the highest honor awarded by the College of Law Alumni Association.

History professor co-publishes volume, speaks in Poland
Bernard Cook, Ph.D., Provost Distinguished Professor of History at Loyola University New Orleans, recently co-wrote a book with Dumitru Preda, Ph.D., former chief archivist at the Romanian Foreign Ministry, titled "The United States of America and Romania: Diplomatic Relations 1912-1919."
