November 12, 2010
Loyola University New Orleans is hosting its annual Jazz Brunch Open House for prospective students and their families, this Saturday, Nov. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The open house provides students with a special preview of Loyola and a taste of New Orleans culture. Registration and check in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the St. Charles Room, located in the Danna Student Center, with the brunch to follow at 9 a.m. featuring New Orleans cuisine and Loyola’s student jazz band.
Following the brunch, attendees will be able to explore Loyola’s academic curriculum through a question and answer session with Loyola’s deans. The day will also include an admissions presentation as well as information about co-curricular programs, student life, scholarships, financial aid, career development and first-year experience. The open house concludes with optional tours of the campus and residence halls, and a 4 p.m. vigil Mass in Holy Name of Jesus Church.
“The Jazz Brunch Open House is a unique annual opportunity to showcase both our university and our New Orleans heritage. We’re expecting record attendance - it’s going to be a festive, dynamic, and informative event!,” said Sal Liberto, vice president for enrollment management and associate provost.
A more detailed account of the day’s events can be found on the admission's website.
