Loyola employees encouraged to donate to United Way
November 12, 2010
The Loyola University New Orleans 2010 United Way Campaign runs through Friday, Nov. 19.
Since 2003, Loyola University New Orleans has raised more than $200,000 for United Way from dedicated faculty, staff and students. This year, Loyola has set an ambitious goal to raise $28,000 for the nonprofit organization, and the Loyola community is urged to give serious consideration to be a part of something that helps so many. United Way raised more than $400,000 this year in response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Faculty and staff who fill out a pledge form Nov. 8 – 19 will be entered in a raffle for a $150 Amazon gift card. The winner will be announced in late December. Payroll deduction is available.
United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area coordinates with members of government, business, faith groups, nonprofits and ordinary citizens across the seven-parish region to target needs in the community and help provide a healthy quality of life, a strong workforce and a brighter economic future. Donations to United Way allow more than 100 health and human service agencies to serve people in the region each year.
