International organization names Loyola's Kathleen Breaux president

Kathleen Bertin Breaux, staff member in the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, was elected president of the Association of Wish Granting Organizations at its annual conference in Atlantic City this summer.

Breaux, who is assistant to associate dean of students Stephanie Jumonville, was also a featured speaker at the conference. Her topic was "The Gift of Listening."

AWGO is an international organization comprised of wish-granting organizations throughout the U.S., Canada and England that grant wishes to terminally ill children.

In addition, Breaux is a board member of A Child’s Wish of Greater New Orleans, a Louisiana-based nonprofit organization that works to fulfill the dreams of critically ill children.
