Gina Gill named SSAC Volleyball Player of the Week

Southern States Athletic Conference named Loyola University New Orleans’ Gina Gill Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending September 26.
Gill, a junior outside hitter from Baton Rouge, led the team with 23 kills at Belhaven, improving the Wolfpack’s conference record to 2-0. She had a career best 27 kills in Loyola’s first ever win over the University of New Orleans. She averaged 4.47 kills per game with a .163 attack percentage. Gill also had .74 aces per game with Loyola going 4-1 on the week.
Gill is the first Loyola student athlete to be named SSAC Player of the Week since the Wolfpack moved into the new conference this season. Coming into tonight’s SSAC action, Loyola (11-7, 2-0 SSAC) leads the West Division by one game over Spring Hill, Mobile, and Faulkner.
