Loyola at a Glance
Loyola closely monitors Tropical Storm Bonnie
July 23, 2010
Loyola University New Orleans is currently monitoring the storm system entering the Gulf of Mexico. At this time, it does not appear to pose any threat to the university. However, Loyola, local and state officials will continue to monitor the situation for as long as is necessary.
As a precaution, students should begin reviewing their personal emergency plans. Faculty and staff should also review departmental emergency plans and be prepared to implement them later today before the close of business.
The Office of Public Affairs will work to keep faculty, staff and students informed of any new developments and ask that the campus community stay tuned for further information from the university, the City of New Orleans and local news sources.
Official information and updates for the university can be found at www.loyno.edu or by calling Loyola’s information hotline at 504-865-2186 or toll free at 1-888-94LOYNO.
