Loyola’s Templet named GCAC Baseball Player of the Week

Freshman third baseman Caleb Templet was named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for baseball for the week ending March 21.
Templet, a native of Sorrento, La., hit .412 (7 of 17) in Loyola’s four contests, including three multi-hit games. For the week, he scored seven runs, had two doubles, and finished with five RBI.
On the season, Templet is batting .337 which is 17th in the GCAC. He currently has an 11-game hitting streak, dating back to March 6.
The Wolfpack will be back in action on March 30, when they head on the road for a two-game series at Birmingham Southern. Tuesday’s game will start at 7 p.m. with the Wednesday finale set for a 3 p.m. start.
