Staff Conference Day 2010 offers professional development
March 12, 2010
Staff Conference Day, a day dedicated to the development and appreciation of the staff of Loyola University New Orleans, will be held on Wednesday, March 31. Program and enrollment forms were mailed to campus boxes this week, and they should be filled out and mailed to Human Resources, Box 16, by March 22.
Nineteen seminars will be offered concurrently over four sessions. University staff is invited to attend seminars during all four sessions. Some sessions will be offered twice to give more flexibility in scheduling. In addition to sessions on improving desktop computer skills, presentations such as “Time Management,” “A Focus on Finance” and “Whole and Holy” will be offered.
The day will also include the Staff Awards Ceremony at noon in the St. Charles Room in the Danna Student Center, which will honor employees who have worked five or more years at Loyola. A luncheon will follow. Staff members are asked to RSVP if they plan to attend the ceremony and luncheon.
This year’s recipients of the Coadjutor Optimus Award will also be announced and honored. The Coadjutor Optimus Award is given annually to one outstanding university staff member and one outstanding administrative staff member who demonstrates excellent service above that required or expected and who is representative of Loyola’s commitment to Jesuit values.
