Loyola University meets goal for 2009 United Way Campaign
January 29, 2010
The Loyola University New Orleans United Way campaign began in November, with a goal of raising $25,000 for the nonprofit organization. As of Jan. 27, the campaign has raised $25,790. Dana Parks Paternostro, the 2009 employee campaign chair, says donations are still being accepted until March 31.
The Loyola community is urged to give serious consideration to this opportunity to be a part of something that helps so many. Payroll deduction is available. Since 2003, Loyola University New Orleans has raised more than $200,000 for United Way from dedicated faculty, staff and students working together to make our community a better place to live.
United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area coordinates with members of government, business, faith groups, nonprofits and ordinary citizens across the seven-parish region to target needs in the community and help provide a healthy quality of life, a strong workforce and a brighter economic future. Donations to the United Way allow more than 100 health and human service agencies to serve people in the region each year.
