Levitov busy presenting, authoring counseling papers
November 20, 2009
Loyola University New Orleans Department of Counseling professor Justin Levitov, Ph.D., has recently completed a number of professional presentations and is preparing for more this winter.
At the Louisiana Counseling Association conference in Baton Rouge, La., in October, Levitov and Kevin Fall, Ph.D., led a one-day training seminar on tandem couples therapy and family counseling ethics. At the same conference, he and Ellen Levitov, counseling instructor, presented “Snatching Failure from the Jaws of Success,” which was chosen by the LCA as the “best in conference” presentation last year and offered again this year.
In February, Fall and Levitov will present a paper on group co-leadership at the 2010 national convention of the Association for Specialists in Group Work in New Orleans. Levitov will also co-author a session at the Louisiana Association of Marriage and Family Therapists conference titled “Love Is Not Enough,” which discusses relationship issues from a family systems perspective.
The Department of Counseling, housed within the College of Social Sciences, offers graduate degrees incorporating academic, experiential and intrapersonal learning in a carefully chosen curriculum.
