Loyola volleyball's Gill, Worsham, Roth, named All-GCAC

The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced their all-conference honors for volleyball on Nov. 14, and Loyola’s Gina Gill, Samantha Worsham, and Rachael Roth were all named All-GCAC.
Gill, a sophomore outside hitter from Baton Rouge, La., earned All-GCAC honors after leading the conference in kills per game (3.8) for the second straight year. She currently has 384 kills on the season, and her 3.8 average ranks 26th in the NAIA. Gill, who was All-GCAC and Freshman of the Year last season, had a career best 25 kills this season against Belhaven on Oct. 20. She also is fifth in the conference with 43 aces.
Freshman setter Samantha Worsham was named All-GCAC after ranking second in the conference with 8.7 assists per game, and third is total assists (1,048). Worsham, a native of Chicago, Ill, had a career best 49 assists against Millsaps on Sept. 5. Along with setting up the Loyola attack, Worsham also contributed with 91 kills and was third in total aces (48).
Rachael Roth, a freshman outside hitter and middle blocker out of Dallas, Texas, is ranked 13th in the GCAC in kills per game (1.9). She had 220 kills on the season, and also served 47 aces, which ranks second. Roth was great at the net all season, ranking third in the conference in blocks per game (0.7) and fourth in total blocks (78).
