Yao delivers lectures in Middle East, the Netherlands

Loyola University New Orleans College of Business accounting, economics and finance Chair Lee J. Yao, Ph.D., is on a whirlwind international tour this week, lecturing in Saudi Arabia and presenting a research seminar in the Netherlands.
Yao, who is also the Fr. Joseph A. Butt, S.J. Distinguished Professor in Accounting, will deliver two lectures in Saudi Arabia. First, he will present a speech on forensic accounting at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran before business school faculty members from around the entire kingdom. From there, he will travel to the eastern port city of Dammam, where he will lecture on corporate governance before senior executives from all the Big Four accounting firms, large international oil and gas companies and members of the Arab Gulf Chamber of Commerce.
On Friday, Nov. 6, Yao hosted a research seminar on earnings management to the faculty and research students of the Amsterdam Graduate School of Business at the University of Amsterdam.
