Loyola and the Press Club host networking night for students and professionals

October 9, 2009

Loyola University New Orleans School of Mass Communication and the Press Club of New Orleans will unite students and media professionals looking to build relationships on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. The networking night will take place on the fourth floor, in Studio A, of Loyola’s Communications/Music Complex.

Last year, the event drew more than 100 participants, including students and professionals from universities and companies throughout the New Orleans area. Students looking for internships and mentors met with highly placed journalism, public relations and advertising professionals.

“I feel like I met and talked with a lot of people who had good advice for my career,” said mass communication student Katie Anderson, after attending the networking event last year. “It was such a great opportunity to meet professionals and make connections and have a good time.”
