Cissy Petty invited to Nova Scotia

September 18, 2009

Loyola University New Orleans Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Provost M.L. “Cissy” Petty, Ph.D., has been invited to present at the inaugural Gallup International Strengths Conference, September 16-18, in Western Shore, Nova Scotia.

The conference offers a wide range of topics including strengths-based development for students, staff and faculty. The conference will also feature sessions on positive psychology and leadership.

Petty’s presentation, “The Developing StrengthsQuest Program at Loyola University New Orleans,” will cover an overview of what makes Loyola University New Orleans distinctive; the development of StrengthsQuest at the university; current uses of StrengthsQuest on campus; and the planning for deeper integration of the program.

“I’m looking forward to learning from colleagues who have successfully implemented a culture of strengths-based learning on campus,” said Petty.
