Keynote address given by law professor

September 4, 2009

In July 2009, Markus G. Puder, associate professor in the College of Law, gave one of the keynote addresses at the “Festive Act,” which celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Salzburg Summer Academy, in Salzburg, Austria. Puder spoke about Louisiana’s rich legal heritage.

The other keynote speakers were Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the U.S. Supreme Court, Chief Justice Dr. Irmgard Griss of the Austrian Supreme Court and Professor Jean-Sébastien Borghetti of the University of Nantes.

Supported by the European Commission, the annual program in Mozart’s birth town offers instruction, seminars and workshops on a wide array of legal subjects in the comparative law arena. It brings together more than 100 students and 30 instructors from more than 20 countries across Europe.
