KidsArt summer program returns

May 1, 2009

KidsArt, an art program for children ages 7 to 14, will return this summer at Loyola University New Orleans. This year’s session will be held July 13-24, in St. Mary’s Hall, located on Loyola’s Broadway campus.

According to Director of KidsArt Rebecca Kitchens, the curriculum is based on art history and provides authentic hands on experiences in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture. The courses are taught by experienced, certified teachers and studio artists, and the program will conclude with a student art exhibition open to family and friends.

KidsArt will be in session Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The student exhibition will take place Thursday, July 23, at 7 p.m. Tuition for the program is $350, which includes a $50 non-refundable registration fee.
