Town hall meeting to address Uptown sexual assaults and safety on campus

Loyola University New Orleans will host a safety town hall meeting on Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m., in the Audubon Room, located on the second floor of the Danna Student Center. Loyola University officials encourage students, faculty and staff to attend in order to receive valuable safety information.
The forum will include presentations from members of New Orleans Police Department, Loyola University Police Department, the University Counseling Center, and Tulane University Police. Additionally, Wayne Barnes, community educator and advocate for the Metropolitan Center for Women and Children, Anabell Rosales, Hispanic community outreach coordinator for the Family Justice Center, and Mike Cummings, an expert on cyber stalking, will also present information.
A question and answer session will follow the presentations, and refreshments will be served. This meeting is co-sponsored by the Loyola University Women’s Resource Center, Residential Life, University Counseling Center and Tulane University.
