Liberto headlines Jesuit High School commencement luncheon
April 17, 2009
Loyola University New Orleans Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment Management and Associate Provost Sal Liberto will deliver the keynote address at Jesuit High School’s Eighth Annual Commencement Luncheon on Friday, May 1. The luncheon takes place at 11:30 a.m. at the Sheraton New Orleans, and is open to alumni and graduating seniors only.
The luncheon is given annually by Jesuit alumni to welcome graduating seniors into the alumni association and instill in them the uniqueness of being a Jesuit alumnus. Liberto, a 1990 graduate of Jesuit, will present “Five Big Things,” a light but meaningful look at the most important lessons he has learned since graduating from Jesuit.
Liberto, who also writes regularly for the Loyola admissions blog, Salutations, said his work at Loyola has helped prepare him for this occasion.
“Jesuit and Loyola enjoy a strong synergy, and of course, we have a common genesis,” Liberto said. “The day-to-day communication with prospective students and their families, hopefully, has given me some entry to what a soon-to-be Jesuit graduate is thinking and what he needs to know as he moves on to his next adventure.”
“It’s a thrill and an honor to have been invited to address Jesuit’s Class of 2009. Jesuit has influenced my life in copious ways,” Liberto said. “I feel privileged to be able to pour my experiences and beliefs into this address.”
