Loyola's Brock named to All-Decade team

The Clarion Herald has named Loyola sophomore Ryan Brock to the All-Decade boy’s basketball team. The team consists of high school players of local archdiocese schools who played in the years 2000-09.
Brock, an alumnus of Brother Martin in New Orleans, won back-to-back state Class 5A championships in 2004 and 2005 with the Crusaders.
In Brock’s first season at Loyola, he led the GCAC in scoring with 19.9 points per game. He was also named All-GCAC, GCAC Newcomer of the Year and All-American honorable mention.
Brock’s high school teammate, D.J. Augustine, who is currently playing for the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats, was named Most Outstanding for the decade.
