Loyola University New Orleans College of Social Sciences Dean Luis Mirón is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Frady, M.S.W., to associate dean for professional studies and online programs in CSS. In this position, Frady will work closely with Mirón to develop and implement college goals and policies; maintain business and academic oversight of programs in the college; provide leadership and strategic direction for professional and online programs; and follow new developments and trends in online and professional education.
Frady will also work closely with the Division of Institutional Advancement on marketing and fund raising initiatives and with community groups to establish partnerships to recruit students and deliver professional studies programs.

He is a 1974 Loyola graduate and earned a master’s degree in social work from Tulane University. He taught social work, human resources management and public health at Tulane, including in its Taiwan program, before returning to Loyola.
Frady has in-depth experience working with businesses and nonprofits in leadership positions. Frady said he is enjoying his return to Loyola and looking forward to engaging the public and furthering the college’s goals.
“I’m really happy to be back here,” Frady said. “I think the College of Social Sciences can be a tremendous asset to the city of New Orleans in helping to develop policies and initiatives for the ongoing improvement of the city.”
