Professional development opportunities abound with Staff Conference Day 2009
March 27, 2009
Staff Conference Day, a day dedicated to the development and appreciation of Loyola’s staff and administration, will be held on Tuesday, April 7. Program and enrollment forms were mailed to campus boxes a couple weeks ago.
Sixteen seminars will be offered concurrently over four time periods. University staff are invited to attend seminars during all four sessions. Some sessions will be offered twice to give more flexibility in scheduling. In addition to sessions on improving desktop computer skills, presentations such as “Conflict Resolution,” “A Woman’s Money, A Woman’s Future,” and “The Golden Rules of Business Writing” will be offered.
The day will also include the Staff Awards Ceremony at noon in the St. Charles Room in the Danna Student Center, which will honor employees who have worked five or more years at Loyola. A light luncheon will follow. Staff are asked to please respond if you will attend. This year’s recipients of the Coadjutor Optimus Award will also be announced and honored. The Coadjutor Optimus Award is given annually to one outstanding university staff member and one outstanding administrative staff member who demonstrates excellent service above that required or expected, and who is representative of Loyola’s commitment to its Jesuit values.
