History professor publishes in Romanian journal

Bernard Cook, Provost Distinguished Professor of History, published “Sindromul Munchen,” in Magazin Istoric (the principal Romanian Historical Journal) in Feb. 2009. This was an expanded version of his invited lecture, “The use of ‘Appeasement’ in American Political Discourse,” at Ovidius University in Costansa, Romania, in Oct. 2008.

Cook also presented a paper, “Women and War,” at the American Historical Association conference in New York in Jan. 2009, and was invited to comment on papers at the Consortium on the Revolutionary Era in Savannah, Ga., in February.
