Loyola Athletics debuts commercial

The Loyola University New Orleans Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Wellness debuted a commercial this week on Cox Cable.

The 30-second spot featurd characteristics that define Wolfpack basketball. Opening with a photo of the 1945 National Championship Men’s Basketball Team and spotlighting current men’s and women’s basketball players, the spot’s central theme encourages the audience to “be there” to experience Wolfpack hoops. The commercial will run through the remainder of basketball season on various Cox Cable television stations.

“Our goal was to increase awareness about our programs and include a link to our past, while emphasizing our current players and teams. Our student athletes continue to succeed in the classroom with all of our teams ranking near the top of the NAIA in team grade point average, while having great success on the floor. We hope that people will continue to take note of the great accomplishments of our students and be a part of Wolfpack Athletics,” said Dr. Michael Giorlando, Director of Athletics and Wellness/head men’s basketball coach.

The commercial can also be seen several times a day on channel 8 on Loyola’s campus.
