Loyola basketball to host Wolfpack Nation for the Cure
February 13, 2009
Loyola University New Orleans men’s and women’s basketball teams, with an assist from the Greek community on the Uptown campus, will host the third annual Wolfpack Nation for the Cure game on Saturday, Feb. 14, with both teams slated to take on Tougaloo College in The Den. Tip off for the women’s game is set for 5:30 p.m., and the men’s is slated for approximately 7:30 p.m. The men’s tilt will be broadcast on WGSO 990 AM.
Fans are encouraged to buy pink Wolfpack Nation for the Cure T-shirts available in the Danna Student Center during the week and on sale in The Den at the game from the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. T-shirts cost $10 with proceeds benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Pink Zone/Kay Yow Cancer Fund, and the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Coaches vs. Cancer Program. The sorority that is responsible for the most T-shirt sales will receive catering at their next chapter meeting.
