Loyola runners participate in Mardi Gras Marathon

Six of Loyola’s cross country runners participated in the New Orleans Mardi Gras Marathon races on Sunday, Feb. 1.
Freshman Lauren Fereday ran in the half-marathon with a time of 1:42:38. Fereday’s time missed the qualifying mark for the NAIA Nationals by only six minutes.
Freshman Chris Kelliher finished with a time of 1:30:59, and freshman Justin Fecke ran a time of 1:54:44.
In the 5K, three Wolfpack runners participated in the race. Freshman Robert Hayden and sophomore Rachel Leonard showed improvement in their times, running 19:31 and 21:52 respectively. Robyn Lee, a new addition to the Wolfpack, ran a time of 24:30.
The track team will compete in their first outdoor meet on Saturday, Mar. 14, in Hattiesburg, Miss.
