Loyola volleyball trio named on NAIA Scholar Athlete list

Loyola University New Orleans had three volleyball players, Keelyn Henderson, Sarah Howard and Mary Seals, named to the 2008 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes list.
Henderson, a senior from Denver, Colo., was the defensive leader for the Wolfpack this season, tallying 460 digs for the season. She won the GCAC Libero of the Week eight times this past season. Henderson, who is majoring in international business and finance, will graduate this spring.
Seals makes the list for her third straight year. She was named All-GCAC and finished the season as Loyola’s all-time leader in kills with 1,951. Seals, a senior from Austin, Texas, is majoring in accounting.
Howard, who was also named All-GCAC, set Loyola’s career assists record this season with 5,056. She was named GCAC Setter of the Year after leading the conference in assists. Howard, a senior from Houston, Texas, is majoring marketing with a minor in communications.
Three players named to the list ties the most for volleyball, which was set last season.
