Mozo expert at Loyola to present paper in Boston
January 16, 2009
Eileen J. Doll, associate professor of Spanish in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Cultures, published a book in December 2008 examining the use of time, history and the visual arts in the dramaturgy of contemporary Spanish playwright Jerónimo López Mozo. The book, “El papel del artista en la dramaturgia de Jerónimo López Mozo: juegos temporales e intermediales,” was published in Madrid and Frankfurt by Iberoamericana Editorial Vervuert.
Doll also recently published an article on Mozo, “El laberinto de la realidad: 'Combate de ciegos' de J. López Mozo,” in the Spanish journal, “Rilce, Revista de Filología Hispánica.”
Finally, Doll has been invited to give a paper at a special session in honor of Mozo at the Northeastern Modern Language Association conference in Boston, Mass., on Feb. 28, 2009, where Mozo is an invited guest speaker.
Doll will present her paper on his work, “El tiempo sintético en Jerónimo López Mozo,” which will be followed by another presentation by a colleague from Wooster College in Ohio and a response by the playwright.
