Pi Sigma Alpha awarded grant
December 12, 2008
Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, awarded a $600 grant to Loyola’s Pi Sigma Alpha chapter on Dec. 1 to pay for the chapter’s banquet and research paper contest. The grant was awarded through a competitive proposal process in which 85 other chapters also competed for portions of a limited pool of money.
Loyola’s Pi Sigma Alpha Chapter received the full amount it requested.
According to its website, Pi Sigma Alpha “is the only honor society for college and university students of government in the United States.” It is comprised of almost 700 chapters.
