Cheryl Buchert and R. Judson Mitchell present at Clinical Legal Education conference

Cheryl P. Buchert, associate clinical professor of law, and R. Judson Mitchell, Law Clinic staff attorney, presented “Supervising in Your Pajamas: Clinical Pedagogy for the Internet Generation” at the 2008 Association of American Law Schools Conference on Clinical Legal Education in Tucson, Ariz., on May 7, 2008.
Buchert also presented “Louisiana Child Support: An Overview,” on June 12, 2008, at Professor Bobby Harges’ Advanced Divorce Mediation Training, a Loyola College of Law Continuing Legal Education Program.
Additionally, Buchert updated and edited the Family Law Chapter in Volume One of the book, “Louisiana Civil Practice Forms,” 2005 Edition, published by Thompson West.
Buchert was the chairman of the Community Service Committee for the 9th Annual International Forum for the Academy of Collaborative Professionals held in New Orleans October 15 – 19. Buchert coordinated two days of a pre-conference “hands on” service project for the participants to join in the effort to rebuild the city of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, Buchert's family law clinic students participated as conference student volunteers and attended plenary sessions at the Collaborative Divorce Law Forum.
