Women’s Resource Center hosts brown bag lunch on domestic violence

The Loyola University New Orleans Women’s Resource Center is pleased to announce an informational brown bag lunch with Dale Ellen Standifer, the executive director of the Metropolitan Center for Women and Children. The lunch takes place Monday, Oct. 6, at 12:30 p.m., in Mercy Hall, Rm. 103, on Loyola’s main campus.
Standifer, who is a licensed therapist, social worker and advocate, will talk about violence against women. She is an adjunct professor of social work at Tulane University and Southern University of New Orleans. She regularly holds training sessions to educate law enforcement and other organizations on how to prevent and respond to domestic violence. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied science from Loyola University and a master’s degree in social work from SUNO.
