“I Love Loyola” video contest
September 19, 2008
Loyola University New Orleans presents its first-ever “I Love Loyola" Video Contest. The purpose of the contest is to recognize talented Loyola University students and to explore their unique experiences attending a Jesuit university.
Students enrolled at Loyola in the fall 2008 semester are invited to submit their video productions. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top video entries and the winners will be featured on the university’s website: www.loyno.edu.
All entries must be submitted to Salvadore Liberto in the Office of Admissions on the third floor of Marquette Hall by Friday, Oct. 24, at 4 p.m. All entries must be submitted on a CD-ROM and saved in .wmv or .mov format.
Submissions should include a video between 30 to 60 seconds that follows one of the following four categories:
- How has Loyola brought the world to you through the classroom, athletics, student activities, study abroad or internships?
- How do your student life experiences express the 12 ideals of a Jesuit education?
- What does it mean to you to think critically and act justly?
- Illustrate how you are a part of a community of scholars through your studies at Loyola.
There will be a first and second place winner in each of the four categories. The first place winner in each category will receive a cash prize of $250. The second place winner in each category will receive $150.
This contest is a collaborative effort of the Office of Admissions and Office of Publications and Marketing Communications.
