2008 New Student Convocation

The New Student Convocation will be held in Holy Name of Jesus Church on Friday, August 22, at 4 p.m. Faculty and staff are invited to process in regalia and should meet at 3:45 p.m. on the first floor lobby of Marquette Hall.
This ceremony is the official welcome to all new students at Loyola University. The Rev. Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J., will officially induct the new freshmen class into the Loyola University community. The ceremony will also feature comments from Edward J. Kvet, provost and vice president for academic affairs; Sal Liberto, vice president for enrollment management and associate provost; M.L. “Cissy” Petty, vice president for student affairs and associate provost; Fr. Ted Dziak, S.J., vice president for mission and ministry; and Cade Cypriano, Loyola student body president.
New students and their parents will be in attendance, and the traditional class picture of 2012 will be taken in the horseshoe following the convocation.
