Loyola remasters its Communications/Music Complex with $700,000 in renovations and equipment upgrades
Production teaching facilities within the Communications/Music Complex at Loyola University New Orleans are currently undergoing major renovations and are being outfitted with state-of-the-art production equipment.
Bob Thomas, Ph.D., interim director of the School of Mass Communication within Loyola's College of Social Sciences, and director of the Loyola Center for Environmental Communication, was recently interviewed by National Public Radio's Andrea Hsu about the disappearing wetlands along the coast of Louisiana.
Amy Cyrex Sins, A'98, author of the Katrina-inspired, Ruby Slippers Cookbook: Life, Culture, Family and Food After Katrina, traveled to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, last weekend on a relief mission where she led a group of 220 volunteers, including New Orleans cooks and fellow Loyola graduates George Sins, III, and Elizabeth Brister.
Loyola head women's basketball coach Kellie Kennedy has hired Jamie Thomatis and Fran Boffone as assistant coaches.

Loyola's Office for Nontraditional Students has recently changed its name to Evening Division.
