Loyola and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office collaborate to offer incentives for degree program
The department of criminal justice at Loyola University New Orleans and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office (JPSO) have partnered to offer a bachelor's degree program in criminal justice to officers at a discounted rate beginning in June.

Dr. Barbara C. Ewell presents paper at convention in Virginia
Dr. Barbara C. Ewell, Dorothy H. Brown Distinguished Professor of English, presented a paper, "The Awakening and the Great Storm of 1893," on a panel titled "New Orleans and Catastrophe" at the biennial convention of the Society for the Study of Southern Literature at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The College Sports Information Director's Association (CoSIDA) has named Loyola baseball player Kevin Fontenot Academic All-District first team for District Six.
