Shane May, a Loyola University New Orleans law student, will receive the Louisiana State Bar Association's 2008 Pro Bono Publico Law Student Award during the association's annual meeting on May 20 at the Louisiana Supreme Court in New Orleans.
Two students from Loyola University New Orleans' Master of Business Administration Program have advanced to the final round of the 2008 JPMorgan Chase Community Development Competition to develop space for New Orleans' Preservation Resource Center's Rebuilding Together initiative.
Loyola's Brian Mason and Josh Borges were named to the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) All-Conference team and Taylor Domengeaux was named to the GCAC Gold Glove Team.

The Loyola University New Orleans Athletic and Wellness Department will honor student athletes at the 4th Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Ceremony, on Monday, May 5, in the St. Charles Room.
This summer, the Writing Institute at Loyola University New Orleans will offer a creative writing workshop for young writers. The workshop, which begins June 9, is a two-week immersion in the world of creative writing that provides a supportive environment for aspiring young writers. The program is designed for Orleans Parish high school students in the 9th, 10th and 11th grades.
