College of Law student wins award from the Louisiana State Bar Association
Shane May, a Loyola University New Orleans law student, will receive the Louisiana State Bar Association's 2008 Pro Bono Publico Law Student Award during the association's annual meeting on May 20 at the Louisiana Supreme Court in New Orleans.

The Loyola University New Orleans Athletic and Wellness Department will honor student athletes at the 4th Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Ceremony, on Monday, May 5, in the St. Charles Room.
Youth summer writing program offered at Loyola
This summer, the Writing Institute at Loyola University New Orleans will offer a creative writing workshop for young writers. The workshop, which begins June 9, is a two-week immersion in the world of creative writing that provides a supportive environment for aspiring young writers. The program is designed for Orleans Parish high school students in the 9th, 10th and 11th grades.
