Love your mother: Loyola observes Earth Day with an evening celebration
April 4, 2008
The Loyola community is invited to participate in an Earth Eve Celebration, presented by the Environmental Studies Program on Wednesday, April 9, from 5 - 6:30 p.m., in the Peace Quad.
The event will begin with a short ritual of thanksgiving for Earth's beauty and blessings led by Native American Medicine Hawk. In addition, the event will recognize the efforts and achievements of Loyola community members who work toward a more reverent, appreciative and just relationship with the community.
The Earth Eve Celebration is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Center for Environmental Communication, the College of Social Sciences, and the College of Humanities and Natural Sciences.
