Loyola at a Glance
Staff Conference Day is this Monday
March 14, 2008
Staff Conference Day, a day dedicated to the development and appreciation of Loyola’s staff and administrators, will be held on Monday, March 17.
The theme of this year’s program is “Professional and Personal Enrichment.” Twenty seminars will be offered concurrently over four time periods. University staff are invited to attend seminars during all four sessions. Some sessions will be offered twice to give more flexibility in scheduling. In addition to sessions on improving desktop computer skills, presentations such as “Stop Stressing. Start Living,” “Tax Smart Strategies,” and “Explore Monroe Library!” will be offered.
The day will also include the Staff Awards Ceremony at noon in the St. Charles Room, which will honor employees who have dedicated five years or more to Loyola. A light luncheon will follow. This year’s recipients of the Coadjutor Optimus Award will also be announced and honored. The Coadjutor Optimus Award is given annually to one outstanding exempt staff member and one outstanding non-exempt staff member who demonstrate excellent service above that required or expected, and who are representative of Loyola’s commitment to its Jesuit values.
