Small Business Recovery Summit 2008

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center, Greater New Orleans Region, a collaborative partnership between Loyola University New Orleans, Southern University at New Orleans, University of New Orleans, and South Louisiana Economic Council, presents the Second Annual Small Business Sustainability Summit for area businesses February 21 –23, 2008, in Roussel Hall, on Loyola’s main campus.

The collaborative summit is designed to assist business owners and their advocates to develop sustainable business practices geared to reduce risk and create economic resilience. The summit is an innovative strategic planning session and workshop for local businesses and those advocating on their behalf. The summit’s agenda will present creative ideas, tools and partnerships designed to “empower small business owners to create their own sustainability.”

The Second Annual Small Business Summit’s topics will include how to negotiate insurance rates, build disaster-resilient businesses, and sustain growth strategies. Locally-owned businesses and organizations that work with them will also report on business recovery efforts and discuss long-term strategy issues for overcoming problems common to the small business owner.
