Friday, January 18, from 6 to 9 p.m., the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations will host the New Orleans Young Alumni Mardi Gras Kick-Off Happy Hour at Fat Harry’s, 4330 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans.

Friday, January 18, from 1 to 4 p.m., the College of Law presents Revitalizing Community Assets, a conference on blighted, abandoned, and tax-adjudicated property and land use planning in post-Katrina Louisiana, in the College of Law, Room 405.

Saturday, January 19, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Loyola Opera Theatre presents Orpheus in the Underworld in the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall.

Saturday, January 19, at 5 p.m., the Wolfpack women’s basketball team will take on Southern University New Orleans in The Den.

Saturday, January 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be the 22nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Week for Peace Celebration Day of Community Service, “A Day On, Not A Day Off.” Meet in the Newcomb Quad, Tulane University.

Sunday, January 20, from 3 to 5 p.m., the Loyola Opera Theatre presents Orpheus in the Underworld in the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall.

Monday, January 21 through Friday, January 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., Dining Services will host Stargaze on the Red Carpet Event Week, in the Orleans Room.

Monday, January 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be a 22nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Week for Peace Celebration Interfaith Service in the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 6331 St. Charles Avenue, Loyola University.

Every Tuesday in January, there will be a Mass on the Broadway Campus from 12 to 12:30 p.m. in the Martha and Mary Chapel in Greenville Hall.

Tuesday, January 22, from 4 to 6 p.m., there will be a Wolfpack Wellness Kickoff in the University Sports Complex.

Thursday, January 24, at 5:30 p.m., the Wolfpack women’s basketball team will take on University of Mobile in Mobile, Ala.

Thursday, January 24, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., there will be an Intro to Excel Workshop in the Library Instruction Classroom, Room 229.

Thursday, January 24, from 4 to 6 p.m., the College of Law presents “2008: A Critical Year Balkan and European Security and Stability,” a lecture by Alexandros P. Mallias, the Ambassador of Greece to the United States, in College of Law, Room 405. A light reception will be held at 5 p.m. on the fourth floor.

Thursday, January 24, from 5 to 9 p.m., there will be a 22nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Week for Peace Celebration Convocation, with keynote speaker Jeffery Johnson, in the Lawless Memorial Chapel, Dillard University.

Friday, January 25, at 4:45 p.m, there will be a 22nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Week for Peace Celebration Candle Light March. Meet at the Lavin Bernick Center, Tulane University.

Friday, January 25, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., there will be a 22nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Week for Peace Celebration Expressions of Unity event in the gymnasium, Xavier University.

Saturday, January 26, at 1 p.m., the men’s Wolfpack baseball team will take on LSU-Shreveport at Segnette Field.

Saturday, January 26, at 5 p.m., the women’s Wolfpack basketball team will take on Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, Miss.

Sunday, January 27, from 1:30 to 5 p.m., there will be Metropolitan Opera Gulf Coast Regional Auditions held in the Roussel Performance Hall in the Communications/Music Complex.

Sunday, January 27, at 1 p.m., the men’s Wolfpack baseball team will take on LSU-Shreveport at Segnette Field.

Monday, January 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be a Metropolitan Opera Masterclass in the Roussel Performance Hall in the Communications/Music Complex.

Monday, January 28, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., there will be a guest concert with Dustin Gledhill, 2006 New Orleans International Piano Competition Gold Medalist, in the Roussel Performance Hall in the Communications/Music Complex.

Tuesday, January 29, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., there will be a faculty concert with Allen Nisbet, cello, and H. Jac McCracken, piano, in the Roussel Performance Hall in the Communications/Music Complex.

Wildes, S.J., Ph.D., presents the 2008 Spring President’s Forum entitled, “The Qur’an, A New American Scripture,” a discussion of the changing religious demography of the U.S. and of Islam with Jane McAuliffe, Ph.D., in Nunemaker Auditorium, Monroe Hall.

Thursday, January 31, through Tuesday, February 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Diboll Gallery presents “Hyperflux,” Graphic Design Exhibition, in the Diboll Gallery, fourth floor of the Monroe Library.
