Wolfpack women’s basketball player named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of The Week

Wolfpack women’s basketball guard/forward Christine Mainguy was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending December 2.

Mainguy, Loyola management senior, had a career-high 13 rebounds and added 13 points in a winning effort against National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I opponent, Houston Baptist University. The impressive double-double was her first this season and fourth overall in her career. Mainguy is averaging 7.43 points per game and 7.86 rebounds per game so far this season.

The 18th ranked Wolfpack (5-2) travel next to Orlando, Florida, to compete in the Disney Classic on December 17 and 18.
