Friday, November 16, from 8 to 10 p.m., the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance presents the Loyola Ballet Fall Concert in the Roussel Performance Hall in the Communications/Music Complex.

Friday, November 16, at 8:30 a.m., University Ministry, Loyola University Community Action Program, and Students Seeking Solidarity present a trip to the Ignatian Family Teach-In and Rally at the gates of Ft. Benning in Columbus, Georgia. To take the bus with Loyola, meet on Freret St. behind the Recreational Sports Complex. If you are interested in signing up for the trip, contact Landis Niernberger.

Friday, November 16, at 9 a.m., the Wolfpack womens volleyball team will take on Belhaven College at the NAIA Region XIII tournament-Pool Play in Mobile, Ala.

Friday, November 16, at 2 p.m., the Wolfpack womens volleyball team will take on Lee University at the NAIA Region XIII tournament- Pool Play in Mobile, Ala.

Friday, November 16, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., UPB presents Third Friday with Nomadic Soul in the Greenville Quad on the Broadway Campus. Nomadic Soul will perform and there will be free food from Dunbar’s, refreshments, and activities for all.

Friday, November 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., Loyola’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America is sponsoring a panel discussion on entertainment public relations with Ashley White, A’01, Director of Publicity for Atlantic Records in New York; Walter Butler, A’98, CEO of Extreme Entertainment in New Orleans; and Tracy Styron, Senior Account Executive for Moroch Entertainment in New Orleans, in Multimedia Room 1 in J. Edgar Monroe and Louise S. Monroe Library

Friday, November 16, from 8 to 10 p.m., UPB is offering $5 discount tickets to Friday’s performance of Il Trittco, an opera performed in McAlister Auditorium on Tulane University’s Main Campus. Bring your Loyola student ID to the Office of Co-Curricular Programs to claim a ticket. Tickets are limited. One ticket per student, please.

Friday, November 16, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., the Black Student Union presents the Ninth Annual BSU Scholarship Gala at the Musee Conti Wax Museum, at 917 Conti Street. Shuttles will transport guests to the location from the Mercy Hall parking lot from 6 to 7:45 p.m.

Friday, November 16, from 8 to 10 p.m., there will be a showing of the movie Superbad in The Underground of the Danna Student Center.

Saturday, November 17, from 7 to 10 p.m., the Wolfpack cross country and track teams will compete at the NAIA National Championships.

Saturday, November 17, from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m., there will be a trip to Saturday Night Live Music: The Bingo Show. Participants should meet in the Mercy Lot at 7:15 p.m. to be taken to play bingo, listen to music, and be entertained by clowns!

Sunday, November 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Houston Alumni Chapter of Loyola University New Orleans presents a game watch party for the Saints vs. Texans, at Big Woodrow’s, 3111 Chimney Rock, Houston, Texas.

Sunday, November 18, from 4 to 6 p.m., Dr. Marcus St. Julien presents the Organ Works of César Franck, part 1, at Temple Sinai Reformed Congregation on the corner of St. Charles Ave. and Calhoun St.

Monday, November 19, at 7 p.m., the Wolfpack mens basketball team will take on Delta State University in The Den.

Wednesday, November 21, through Friday, November 23, the Thanksgiving Holiday begins for faculty and students.

Wednesday, November 21, at 5:30 p.m., the Wolfpack womens basketball team will take on Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas.

Friday, November 23, the Wolfpack womens basketball team will take on Oklahoma Baptist University in the Oklahoma Baptist Classic in Shawnee, Okla.

Friday, November 23, at 7:30 p.m., the Wolfpack men’s basketball team play in the Wiley College Classic in Marshall, Texas.

Saturday, November 24, the Wolfpack womens basketball team will take on St. Gregory’s University at the Oklahoma Baptist Classic in Shawnee, Okla.

Saturday, November 24, at 4 p.m., the Wolfpack men’s basketball team will take on Texas College at the Wiley College Classic in Marshall, Texas.

Tuesday, November 27, from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be an address by Inspector General Robert Cerasoli, entitled “Ethics in Public Service and The Inspector General Function,” in Nunemaker Hall, third floor of Monroe Hall. Cerasoli will explain the role of the Inspector General function and participate in a panel discussion with city leaders.

Tuesday, November 27, at 12:30 p.m., the department of biological sciences is hosting the final Biological Sciences Faculty Research Seminar with Kyle Harms, Ph.D., from the department of biological sciences at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He will speak on processes maintaining species diversity in a Neotropical forest in Monroe Hall, Room 157.

Tuesday, November 27, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the UPB invites the Loyola community to learn to tango. Sign up in the Co-Curricular Programs office with a $5 refundable deposit. Refreshments will be provided. Location is to be announced.

Wednesday, November 28, from 8 to 10 p.m., UPB presents “Trivia and Tacos,” in The Underground of the Danna Student Center. Teams of four compete in three rounds of trivia for a chance to win a $50 gift certificates for each member of your team.

Thursday, November 29, from 6 to 7 p.m., the Ad Club of Loyola will hold a meeting in the Shawn M. Donnelley Center for Nonprofit Communications. Loyola alumna Nicole Thiberville, an account executive at Peter Mayer Advertising, will be the guest speaker. Food and refreshments will be provided.

Thursday, November 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Jewish Student Association and the University Programming Board present the Great Hanukkah Gelt Off in the Orleans Room Lounge. Join in learning to play with Dradles and chocolate coins for a $50 prize. The $5 admission will go to the Bridge House charity.

Friday, November 30, from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., UPB presents Loyola Lazar Tag Night. Sign up in the Office of Co-Curricular Programs with your $5 to guarantee your spot. Refreshments will be provided.
