Friday, October 26, at 7 p.m., the Wolfpack men’s basketball team will take on the DBBC All-Stars in The Den.

Friday, October 26, from 7 to 9 p.m., Christopher West will give a lecture on “The Love That Satisfies” in Rousell Hall of the Communications/Music Complex.

Friday, October 26, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., The Student Bar Association presents its annual Halloween party for all law students at the Sheraton New Orleans, 500 Canal Street.

Friday, October 26, from 7:15 p.m. to 12 a.m., UPB is sponsoring a trip to take a French Quarter Ghost Tour. Attendees should meet in the Mercy Lot.

Friday, October 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., there will be a Labor and Employment Conference at the U. S. District Court, Eastern District of La., 500 Camp Street, Courtroom C-277.

Saturday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m., the Wolfpack women’s basketball team will take on McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La.

Saturday, October 27, at 1 p.m., the Wolfpack women’s volleyball team will take on Piedmont College at the Centre College Tournament in Danville, Ky.

Sunday, October 28, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., the Religious Studies Department will sponsor its Fall Yamauchi Lecture in Religion, with Catherine Wessinger, Ph.D., speaking on, “Charisma and Credentials: Women’s Religious Leadership in America,” in Nunemaker Auditorium, Monroe Hall.

Sunday, October 28, at 10 a.m., the Wolfpack women’s volleyball team will take on the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at the Centre College Tournament in Danville, Ky.

Sunday, October 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., LUCAP sponsors the weekly Hunger Relief Project. Participants will be making lunches for the hungry and distributing them at a local shelter. Meet in the Wolf Den of the Danna Student Center, across from The Underground. Location is off-site, with transportation provided.

Sunday, October 28, at 1:30 p.m., the Wolfpack women’s volleyball team will participate in the Centre College Tournament in Danville, Ky.

Monday, October 29, from 5 to 6 p.m., there will be the weekly LUCAP General Meeting. The meeting is held in the LUCAP office, in the basement of the Danna Student Center, across from The Underground.

Monday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Loyola Bookstore will host the first annual Pumpkin Carving Contest in the Orleans Dining Room. There will be prizes for the first, second, and third-place winners.

Tuesday, October 30, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., the Biological Sciences Faculty Research Seminar Series is hosting a lecture on Systematics of Ictiobinae – something fishy, with Hank Bart, Ph.D., from the Tulane University Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, in Monroe Hall, Room 157.

Tuesday, October 30, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., the Environmental Action Program will hold its weekly meeting in the LUCAP office, in the basement of the Danna Student Center, across from The Underground.

Tuesday, October 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., there will be an Alumni Association Board meeting.

Tuesday, October 30, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., there will be a public SGA Senate Meeting to discuss campus issues and hear student concerns in the Audubon Room of the Danna Student Center.

Tuesday, October 30, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., there will be An Evening with Iris Leu, in The Underground, in the basement of the Danna Student Center.

Wednesday, October 31, from 12 to 1:30 p.m., there will be a free Halloweenie Roast for all mass communication majors in Dixon Court.

Thursday, November 1, from 7 to 10 p.m., the Wolfpack women’s volleyball team will take on Dillard University in The Den.

Thursday, November 1, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., the Department of Biological Sciences is hosting, as part of a career seminar series, James Weir, Ph.D., Admissions Director, at the LSU New Orleans School of Dentistry, who will discuss careers in dentistry and the LSU dental school programs, in Monroe Hall, Room 157.

Thursday, November 1, from 6 to 7:15 p.m., there will be a pre-game pep rally and tailgate party for the Loyola Wolfpack versus Tulane Green Wave men’s basketball game. The Wolfpack men’s basketball team will take on Tulane Green Wave following the pep rally at 7:30 p.m. at Tulane’s Fogelman Arena.

Friday, November 2, at 6 p.m., the Wolfpack women’s volleyball team will take on Our Lady of the Lake University at the Huston-Tillotson Tournament in Austin, Texas.

Friday, November 2, at 6 p.m., the Wolfpack men’s basketball team will take on the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Friday, November 2, from 8 to 10 p.m., the Loyola Department of Theatre Arts and Dance will present the opening of The Laramie Project in Marquette Theater. Additional show dates are November 3, 8, 9, 10 at 8 p.m., and November 4 and 11 at 2 p.m.

Saturday, November 3, all day, will be the Wolves on the Prowl Community Service Day. Wolves on the Prowl is a day of community service, with projects throughout the New Orleans area and in alumni chapter cities across the country.

Saturday, November 3, the Wolfpack womens basketball team will take on St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif. Time TBA.

Saturday, November 3, from 7 to 10 p.m., the Wolfpack cross country and track teams will play in the NAIA Region XIII Championships.

Saturday, November 3, at 1 p.m., the Wolfpack womens volleyball team will take on Huston-Tillotson University in the Huston-Tillotson Tournament in Austin, Texas.

Saturday, November 3, at 5 p.m., the Wolfpack womens volleyball team will take on Wayland Baptist University in the Huston-Tillotson Tournament in Austin, Texas.

Saturday, November 3, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., the Loyola College of Law will hold their Reunion Weekend for the Classes of 2002, 1997, 1992, 1987, 1982, 1977, 1967, and 1957 at Arnaud’s Restaurant, 813 Bienville Street, in New Orleans, La.

Saturday, November 3, from 8 to 10 p.m., Shades of Praise will present their annual fall concert in Rousell Hall of the Communications/Music Complex.

Sunday, November 4, from 3 to 5 p.m., the Loyola University Choirs will perform in Rousell Hall of the Communications/Music Complex.

Sunday, November 4, at 4 p.m., the Wolfpack womens basketball team will take on University of California, Berkeley in Berkeley, Calif.

Monday, November 5, through Friday, November 9, LUCAP is sponsoring Education Week, a week analyzing the state of education in New Orleans and its environs though a series of lectures, workshops, and film screenings.

Wednesday, November 7, from 7 to 9 p.m., the Biever Guest Lecture Series presents, “Antebellum African American Religion: The Case of the Methodists,” with Gordon Melton, Ph.D., Director of the Institute for the Study of American Religion in Santa Barbara California, in the Nunemaker Auditorium of Monroe Hall.

Thursday, November 6, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., the Department of Biological Sciences is hosting, as part of a career seminar series, Jared Granier, Admissions Director, LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, who will discuss careers in veterinary medicine, in Monroe Hall, Room 157.

Tuesday, November 6, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., the Society of Professional Journalists is sponsoring an Internship Workshop (2 days) on writing cover letters and resumes. The location is to be announced.

Tuesday, November 6, from 7 to 9 p.m., the student-run, collaborative reading series “1718” presents Rodger Kamenetz at the Columns Hotel, 3811 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans.

Thursday, November 8, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., the Society of Professional Journalists is sponsoring an Internship Workshop (2 days), featuring a question and answer session with local journalism internship recruiters. The location is to be announced.

Thursday, November 8, from 1:30 to 3 pm, Loyola, the Catholic Foundation, Catholic Charities, the Jesuits, and CHM Foundation will present the 16th Annual Estate Planning Symposium at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 1201 Convention Center Boulevard, New Orleans. The symposium will offer CLE credit through Loyola College of Law.

Thursday, November 8, from 7 to 9 p.m., UPB is sponsoring a trip to an Improv Comedy Festival. Transportation will be provided.

Friday, November 9, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Black Student Union is sponsoring the 2nd Annual BSU Fashion Show in the St. Charles Room of the Danna Student Center.

Friday, November 9, all day, the Loyola College of Law is hosting a Moot Court Golf Tournament at the Audubon Golf Course
