The Office of Public Affairs coordinates communication and media relations for the university and the president. The department publicizes university student, faculty, and staff news, lauds, programs, and events—locally and nationally—and manages communications, including media relations, and official university announcements. The department is also responsible for external and internal university relations and the production of Loyola at a Glance, a weekly e-newsletter. Public Affairs staff also manage and produce donor and alumni-related events, plan special events such as inaugurals and dedications, and coordinate commencement exercises.
