Refunds
If the Director receives written notice up to the day the program begins, then all moneys except for the $25 application and $75 housing deposit are refundable. Thereafter, for the fall and spring semester program if written notice is received within one week of program beginning, a refund of 100 percent of tuition is made; if within three weeks, 75 percent; if within five weeks, 50 percent; and if within seven weeks, 25 percent. For the summer term, if the Director receives written notice within one week of program beginning, a 100 percent refund of tuition is made, if within two weeks, the refund is 50 percent.
Financial Aid
The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid administers all aid programs for students in Loyola's Mexico Program. Students should apply early and supply all documentation well in advance of the beginning of the enrollment period. Financial Aid Deadline Dates. If you are a Loyola student, check with the Financial Aid Office, Marquette Hall 110. Loyola students applying for the summer or fall program should have all their paperwork in to the Financial Aid Office by April 1, and those applying for the spring program by October 1..
If you are a non-Loyola student, check with your aid office regarding any financial assistance for Loyola's Mexico program. Loyola will process any loan eligibility if your home campus cannot and if your home campus is willing to participate in a consortium agreement. A consortium agreement form is included in the application packet. Non-Loyola students should contact their home campus aid offices prior to the dates listed for Loyola students to complete the paperwork required at their own campus. Documentation students are asked to provide are their FAT (Financial Aid Transcript) and SAR (Student Aid Report). Copies can be gotten from the financial aid office of the home institution and should be sent directly to Ms. Carolina Thompson, Financial Aid Office, Box 206, Loyola University, New Orleans, LA 70118 or faxed to her at (504) 865-3233.
Applicants applying for recognition or need-based awards beyond any financial aid processed by the aid ofice of their home insitutions or by Loyola's Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid should send a copy of their financial aid award letter and recent official transcript from the college or university thery are now attending or last attended to Maurice P.
